We are so excited to announce our upcoming contest "Dream Tattoo Design". In coordination with our wonderful Screenprinting Workshop Leader Barb Danielewski and The Agnes Etherington Arts Centre, we are running a contest where we want you to design your dream tattoo! Participants can choose to create the tattoo with one or more of the following themes: consent, acceptance and/or memory.

The winner will be picked by a panel of judges from Blue Canoe, Juvenis Festival and The Agnes. Barb will be making the chosen tattoo creations into screens for participants to print with (on tote bags, patches, or tshirts) in her Juvenis Screenprinting workshop on Thursday May 2nd from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre

Contest Rules/Guidelines:
-Submissions due on April 16th at
-Submission must be black and white
-A photograph can be taken for the initial submission
-Can be a "stick and poke" creation, typography, or a design
-Must be 13-30 years old to enter

About Barb: Barb Danielewski is an underground artist who uses screenprinting, stickers, parties, anti-fashion shows, bicycle bells, radical gifting, and collective meals to create unexpected experiences and challenge the status quo. Barb's experiential screenprinting workshops explore themes such as protest aesthetics, connection, and communication. She is a recipient of the Ontario Arts Council Artist in Community grant, and has been a Limestone District School Board Artist in Residence for four years. She works with Partners for Youth Empowerment Global to deliver arts education training. Her "epidemic613" line of screenprinted neckties, patches, and clothing have appeared in stores from Vancouver to Halifax.
