Managing Director - Jane Karges
Toronto born and raised, Jane is a graduate of Queen's University where she completed her BAH in Drama and a minor in English. At Queen's she was highly involved in the drama department, winning the William Agnus Award in Drama (2015). Jane has a long history of production work with Blue Canoe and various other student theatre companies in Kingston. She has worked on contract with the City of Kingston's Cultural Services Department, and most recently with KABOOM, the youth project at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning. Jane is a member of the City of Kingston's Arts Advisory Committee.
Festival Producer - Reid Cunningham
A graduate of LCVI, Kingston born and raised, Reid has been involved with Blue Canoe since 2012 appearing in the casts of "13 the Musical" and "Aida". Reid has spent the past 5 years pursuing a music career playing all over Kingston with The Rhythm Haints and in London, Ontario with Lizard Eyed Men. An accomplished singer, Reid was the lead of the band "Talk of the Street", which performed in Kingston over the past year.
Festival Administrator- Melissa Prince
Melissa is from Bowmanville, Ontario, currently studying Stage and Screen at Queen's University. Melissa has been involved with Blue Canoe since her sister Tiana brought her to rehearsals of Blue Canoe shows she was involved in. Melissa is an accomplished dancer, teaching at 5678 Dance Studio, and a BATD certified dance teacher in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. Melissa is also currently one of the curators of Viva Voce, a storytelling coffeehouse produced by Blue Canoe.
Marketing Strategist- Steven Simard
Steven is a 4th year Commerce Student at Queen's University, working with the Juvenis Festival as part of the Queen's work study program. Steven has extensive experience in sponsorship creation, marketing plans, and event planning and has founded and managed two outdoor maintenance companies of his own. Steven was the founder and main organizer of a TEDx Youth event in high school, the first ever to be produced in his home town of Brampton. He is in his final year at Queen's looking to continue his workin marketing and development.
Graphic Designer - Mat McAllister
Mat is a Graphic Designer and a graduate of St. Lawrence College Graphic Design program. Mat has worked with many local arts groups on design contracts such as the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, The Kick & Push Festival, Blue Canoe Productions and now with Juvenis.
