Workshop description:

In this 2 and a half hour long workshop, a professional artist will demonstrate the photo transfer process and you will have a chance to create one of your own pieces of artwork.

You will have a hands-on experience with making the actual transfer, revealing the transfer after it has dried, and turning the transfer into a finished painting. You will use a variety of prepared photographs provided by the instructor.

Christina MacLachlan

Christina has worked in the visual arts for the past 28 years, as an artist and arts educator.

She is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where she studied watercolour, printmaking and art history.

While living in Sudbury, Christina worked as a gallery curator and art critic for Sudbury’s “Northern Life” newspaper.  The rocks and rugged character of northern Ontario remains an influence in her painting.

Christina was a founding member of the artisan co-operative “Amaryllis” and has taught drawing and painting to children through “Art for Kids”.

She worked for 23 years as a teacher with the Upper Canada District School Board and continues to teach art to students in schools as a guest artist.

Christina is a member of the Kingston Arts Council and resides in the Kingston area.
