Workshop Description

Connections will include movement and theatre elements that explore ways that we can communicate and create a sense of community and connection through creative movement. Throughout the one-hour workshop we will explore numerous dance and theatre activities including tableaus and improv to discover different ways in which we can express ourselves using dance and theatre inspired movement. Participants do not require any theatre or dance experience to participate in this workshop!

Ally Pajak

Ally is a graduate of Queen’s University Dan School of Drama and Music, holding a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Drama, a degree that included many Musical Theatre and Production courses in addition to Performance courses. Ally has gained experience working on numerous children’s and youth performances in roles including Director, Choreographer, and Producer. Ally teaches and choreographs recreational and competitive dance at a Kingston dance studio, and has choreographed for musicals such as Queen’s Musical Theatre Presents Beauty and the Beast. She also directed Fame Jr. for the Kingston Juvenis Festival. Ally is in her final year of Concurrent Education and will receive her teaching degree in the summer of 2021. She is also in the process of getting her ADAPT dance teacher qualifications. Ally is passionate about bringing arts opportunities to youth and is excited to once again be a part of the Juvenis Festival this year!
