Come drum with us under the Full Moon! No experience necessary and welcoming of all levels of abilities. Join Kingston Drum Circle, Kingston’s open community multicultural drum circle. Learn the basics of drumming with a variety of drums such as djembes, ashikos, congas, and lots of percussion will be available to explore in community. Various dancing skirts will be available for anyone wanting to dance and a colouring table will be set it for anything wanting to create a visual art piece inspired by the rhythms. Be a part of the community drum circle!
***This workshop is eligible for a Reach Ahead Activity in the Arts & Culture Specialist High Skills Major Program***
What to bring:
Wear comfortable clothing and bring some water to drink. Feel free to bring your own instrument if you would like to; however, lots are provided.

Recognized for drumming world rhythms passionately across the Kingston community since 2007, Mexican-Canadian artist, Yessica Rivera Belsham the 2017 Mayor’s Arts Award winner from the City of Kingston for her philanthropy and community arts work. Yessica has been serving Ontario with her drum circle facilitation at various hospitals, schools, yoga studios, retreats, community events, group and private functions for team building, relaxation, therapy, relaxation and fun!
