Class Description:

Zoom lessons presenting a basic introduction to songwriting. In these lessons, we will be addressing rudimentary theory and structure, finding inspiration and writing lyrics, and we will learn to flesh out ideas into full compositions. Please bring in any songs, musical ideas, or lyrics you may be working on!

Sam Kaiser

Sam Kaiser is a 20-year-old musician originally from Hong Kong, but now splits his time between there and Kingston, where he is a student at Queen's University.  In his own music, Kaiser embraces the DIY approach, crafting each of his songs with original lyrics and intricate layers of guitar and voice. Songs from his newest EP "Pocket Change" have been featured in indie music publications and reviews, Spotify editorial playlists, and radio stations nationwide.
