Workshop Description:

Sketching, revising and writing are all part of creating the characters you know and love. In this fast paced workshop you will work on developing one of your existing characters, or create something brand new.

***This workshop is eligible for a Certification in the Arts & Culture Specialist High Skills Major Program*** 

Requirements/What to bring

If you already have a sketchbook, you are encouraged to bring it along with any favourite pens or pencils. Some materials will be provided. If you have an electronic device (phone, tablet, etc) you may want to bring it for research, but this is not mandatory.

Peggy Collins

Peggy Collins is an award winning author, illustrator and teaches drawing for animation at Loyalist College. She is a graduate of Sheridan College and has worked on apps, magazines, cartoons, and a wide variety of picture books. She is the illustrator Coordinator for the SCBWI Canada East chapter and has a small studio at Ellena's Cafe, downtown Napanee.

Peggy has been teaching at the college level for seven years after working as a graphic designer for fifteen. She has illustrated more than 30 books for children with publishers from all over the world. She works in all media, writes and develops apps and characters for all types of digital media and loves her work. She is a mom of two, and lives north of Napanee with her family. you can see some of her work at
