Dāstān - The Journey of… a curated dance production by professional dance artists in the YGK. Presented by Kingston School of Dance in collaboration with Juvenis Festival, Dāstān is an ode to Kingston's multiculturalism.
The feature piece ‘Remain the Sea’ explores our minds and hearts journey when we are disconnected from the ‘home’ we know. Dive deep into the experience of Indian-Contemporary movement with hindustani classical music, created by Devanshi Mishra and featuring dancers Sarah McLennan and members of Kingston Youth Dance Ensemble.
The show will also include a wide selection of dance styles from students of the Kingston School of Dance featuring new choreographies by Kay Kenney, Shirley Schram and Devanshi Mishra.
