About Battle of the Bands

Juvy’s Battle of the Bands is back! This night features 6 local youth bands battling the night away with a various styles of music for our judges.

This year we welcome Paul Langlois (The Tragically Hip), Emily Fennell (Miss Emily recording Artist), Michael George (Broken Charts Records) and Zane Whitfeild (North of Princess Studios) as our 4 judges and host Riley Jabour (98.9 The Drive).

Join us for a night of music, $10 entry fee, all ages event!

Meet our Judges: 

Paul Langlois

Paul Langlois is perhaps best known as the guitarist of the Tragically hip. With two solo albums under his belt, and cross-country tours to support them, Pail has been quick to make a name for himself independently from the band

Michael George

A multi-award winning Singer/Songwriter, Producer, Vocal Coach, Music Educator and Manager. As a performer, Michael has played in Europe, U.S.A. and Canada, both as a solo artist and with his band ( The Michael George Band ). He has played for audiences of up to 10,000 strong. Michael is currently the CEO of Brocken Chart Records. 

Emily Fennell

For more than a decade Miss Emily has captivated audiences across Canada, the US and the United Kingdom with her unique combination of passion and talent. Her most recent record ‘Rise’ featured Gord Sinclair and Rob Baker of the Tragically Hip as well as Chris Brown of Bourbon Tabernacle Choir and Eric Schenkman of Spin Doctors.
