Rent - Dylan Chenier

Dylan Chenier is a writer and theatre artist based in Kingston, Ontario. Since 2021, Dylan has served as the President of Domino Theatre, the city's longest-standing community theatre organization. Dylan has also authored several plays; his most recent, Toe The Party Line, was performed during the 2022 TK Fringe Festival. As both an artist and academic, Dylan's work focuses on the intersection between theatre and politics and the ability of theatre to influence community-based dialogue. Dylan is also a reporter for Kingstonist, covering local politics, sports, and the arts. 

 

The Nest - Tyler Matthews

Tyler Mathews was born in Toronto and raised in Aurora, Ontario. He is a librarian, chess player and the author of numerous plays including Mo, Starboy, Fruit, a love story, The Boogeyman, Coven, Truculentus - An Adaptation, Cranz & Bernardo, R.E.D - A Space Odyssey and now The Nest. He completed his degree in Drama at Queen’s University in 2020, where he co-founded Studio 013 alongside Ki'ra Prentice. He currently resides in Kingston, where he is busy writing his next play.

My name is Shay O’Brien and my pronouns are they/them. I am a fourth year ArtSci student at Queen’s university, majoring in English and minoring in drama! This is going to be my first time directing a show, but I am so excited to see my project up on the stage and to get to work with some incredible people.

Storefront Art Gallery - Emilia Cabrera

Emilia Cabrera was born and raised in Chile. She is a student of LCVI high school being head of the yearbook. and one of its main photographers in later years. She enjoys photography and the art and meaning behind it and plays the viola. as well as volunteering since moving to Canada in 2021 at different events for the community, such as helping to take pictures at some events at the youth last year. 

 

Storefront Art Gallery - Jasmine Campbell

Jasmine grew up in Moncton, NB and Inverary, ON. After attending the LEAP program in grade 7 she found comfort and opportunities within Kingston's art community.  Jasmine is now a high school student, attending the AAEP program at L.C.V.I.  You can find her working on various visual art projects both in and out of school.  After volunteering with Juvenis last year she was inspired to come back and take a lead on the Storefront Art Gallery.

Youth Film Night - London Hosier

London Hosier (She/Her) has worked as a Youth Project Leader with Juvenis since 2022, creating Mixed Media, a 12x12 art gallery, and J.F. Youth Film Night. London is also heavily involved with theatre production locally. She has worked as a Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, Lighting Designer/Operator, and Co-Director mainly with Blue Canoe Productions. London led J.F. Youth Film Night last year and was inspired to lead it again this season. She aims to create an event focused on shining a spotlight to local youth made films and their filmmakers.
