Workshop Description

Get ready to freestyle with thread painting! Learn how to create your own embroidery designs and use non-traditional techniques in needlepoint, through making your own beautiful tree of life embroidered onto a versatile sew-on patch. This all-levels class will leave you with the skills to apply your own ideas to the artistic medium of needle and thread.

Requirements/Materials Needed 

Participants have the option to pickup a free embroidery kit. Pickup is at the Spire (82 Sydenham street) Friday, April 30th from 10:00am-5:00pm.

Holly Crowson

Holly Crowson is a self-taught embroidery artist. She began embroidering as a hobby in the summer of 2019. Hit with the pandemic’s lockdown in May of 2020, she created Little Monster Stuff, a small business that sells her uniquely designed and handmade embroidered pieces. She has watched her business grow over the last year as she has created custom patches, bookmarks, and hoops, and has shipped her custom work internationally.
