Maya Meyerman is a local Kingstonian and has been involved with the Kingston arts community for the majority of her life. Her first time being involved with Blue Canoe was as the Co-Managing Director for the 2021 Juvenis Festival, though she has been involved with other local theatre companies and is a graduate from the Kingston School of Dance. Maya graduated from Brock University in Spring 2021 from the Studies in Arts and Culture program and is now pursuing a post-graduate certificate at Humber college in Arts Administration and Cultural Management. She has worked as a summer student at the Tett Centre, at a St. Catharines art gallery, and has held executive positions in university clubs. She had an amazing experience working on the 2021 festival and is looking forward to engaging with the Kingston youth arts community for Juvenis 2022!

Co-Managing Director - Kate Seip

Email: kate.seip@bluecanoetheatrical.ca

Kate is originally from Waterloo, Ontario but resides in Kingston where she is a fourth year drama student at Queen's University. Kate has been involved in theatre since the age of 4 and has since performed in many plays and short films. In addition to performing, Kate also has experience in costuming, directing, set painting and singing. She is constantly taking arts classes and workshops across Ontario to hone her craft. When not performing or working on costumes, Kate can be found hanging out with friends or watching the Leafs game. Kate has been working at blue canoe for 3 years and is excited to be returning as the co-managing director of the 2022 Juvenis Festival!

Technical Director- Connor Price-Kelleher

Connor is a technical director, live stream consultant, and clown based in Kingston, ON. As a professional, he gets way too excited about breakfast for dinner and believes if everyone learned to juggle the world would be the best place. Connor has worked for companies and theatres such as Driftwood Theatre Group, Aplombusrhombus, The Isabel Bader Centre, The National Arts Centre, The Ottawa Fringe Festival, and the Fresh Meat Festival. He has toured across Ontario performing in parks, bars, theatres, and this one time in Winnipeg (wrong turn). Connor would like to thank the entire Juvenis team for providing so much play in a time of uncertainty and he is so happy to be a part of live performance after a panorama forced hiatus.

Campaign Manager ("I am an artist")- Bella DiBernardo

Bella DiBernardo is a 4th year Film & Media Major at Queen’s Universities film school and an aspiring screenwriter. Through post-secondary opportunities at Queen’s and personal projects, Bella practices her screenwriting and has had the opportunity to be involved in the industry in multiple different departments as a PA, Locations Personnel and Script Supervisor. Her involvement with Juvenis will continue to allow her to be involved with the local, and broader, youth arts community and continue to practice her passion for film and live performance.
